Shane, Lucas and Chadd all buzzed their heads in support of our friends, Johnny and Amber Evans' 5 year old daughter, Avery, that was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. She created a group that she calls the "Coconut Club" and invited anyone who wanted a hair cut to join. Shane had already been wanting me to give him a buzz for the summer and when Chadd heard us talking about this 'party' he wanted to do it too! I just figured since they were both doing it, I'd let them cut Lucas' hair as well.
The next morning, Lucas caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror, looked up at me and said "my hair" as he rubbed his hands through it like he didn't know what had happened. Then he went in the other room and saw Shane and said "I like yous hair, Dad" and rubbed his hands over his too. It was cute. (Plus, his Grandpa (my Dad) and his Uncle David all have shaved heads too so now they all match.) Since it's finally summer it was perfect timing and was for a good cause. Besides, I think they all look pretty cute!
